Safety is a core value at American Mechanical & Piping and one that we employ 24-7. Our Safety & Risk Management Program undergoes constant refinement, as we turn the latest safety innovations into advancements in policy and procedures. This proactive approach incorporates regular improvement, clear expectations, and accurate assessments of progress.
The System
The foundation of our safety system is training, which leads to responsible actions and educated decisions. Personal safety skills are taught in workshops and classes, and consistently reinforced at all levels.
- We employ a full time Safety Director to implement to administer our system.
- Site-Specific Safety Program: A custom plan addressed in the orientation before a project. Every employee receives this training before they step foot on the site.
- Subcontractor Safety: Each subcontractor must create a site-specific safety plant that Choate review to ensure compliance.
- Certifications: All employees receive a minimum10-Hour OSHA training by our in-house OSHA Certified Safety Director, As well as Behavior Based Training that goes beyond OSHA compliance and helps promote safe habitats at work, home and on the road.
- Hazard Recognition: Random safety audits conducted by the Safety Director that promote personnel involvement and provide a forum to discuss techniques or explore alternatives.
- Safety Meetings: Weekly to Daily meetings conducted by field supervisors to address specific topics or concerns
